The Great Pottery Throw Down is back and its presenter lineup has been shaken up.

Derry Girls favorite Siobhán McSweeney has been replaced by comedian Ellie Taylor for this year’s series.

The show, which sees amateur potters making wonderful patterns in clay, has been praised for its caring judges.

The show, now in its fourth series, follows the style of the much-loved The Great British Bake Off.

The 12 home potters are tasked with different challenges, all with the goal of winning the wheel trophy.

So far, the series has seen potters tackle ceramic tableware sets and milk bottles in hopes of impressing the judges.

Who is Pottery Throw Down host Ellie Taylor and what other TV shows has she been on?

English actress Ellie Taylor is also a screenwriter and actress.

She was a regular at Nish Kumar’s The Mash Report, where she played Susan, the Late Night Mash host.

She is also known for her appearances on Mock The Week.

Her acting credentials extend to The Lodge – where she played a character called Christina – and Sick Note, where she is a journalist, as well as Brotherhood, in which she plays Poppy.

The 38-year-old has a child and is married to Phil Black, an Australian journalist. She is also the author of two books during her career.

The Great Pottery Throw Down returns today (Sunday, January 9) on Channel 4 at 7:45 p.m.
