What happened to Rollercoaster host Elliot Spencer? Viral TikTok reveals the children’s TV presenter has embarked on a surprising new career










He is best known as the host of the children’s television series Rollercoaster.

But many will be surprised to learn that Elliot Spencer is still a top name on Australian TV – albeit behind the scenes.

The former presenter is now the man behind mega franchises like Married At First Sight, MasterChef and Survivor.

In a deep dive into his post-Rollercoaster career, TikToker @BayleyIsTrying revealed that Elliot is now Creative Director at Endemol Shine Australia.

The production company is also responsible for hit series like Lego Masters, Big Brother and Australian Ninja Warrior.

The post by TikTok user Bayley has been viewed over 161,000 times.

According to his biography on the Endemol Shine Australia website, “Elliot leads the development and presentation of all programs, as well as the acquisition and adaptation of third-party formats for the local market.”

“Following a commission, Elliot works on forming the creative architecture and branding of each show as they move into production,” he adds.

Elliot joined the company in 2011.

Rollercoaster aired on ABC from January 2005 to January 2010.

Rollercoaster featured Elliot performing sketches between externally produced animated shows like Shaun the Sheep and The Mr. Men Show.

Other longer programs featured during Rollercoaster included Lizzie McGuire and Round the Twist.

Elliot has occasionally been joined onscreen by Ruben Meerman, aka “The Surfing Scientist”.
