Wendy explained that she was on the beach in Florida visiting her “family”, while she said she liked the place because it was “so peaceful”.

After discussing the weather, Wendy said she plans to hit the gym after her walk on the beach.

She told Kevin Jr., “You know I practice all the time even though he doesn’t come with me. I go alone.”

Wendy went on to give some insight into how she’s been spending her days lately, explaining, “I like to go early because after practice I get tired. I want to take a shower again and then I like to m lie down, watch TV.

“I pick up the phone and call my friends, my family and some business. I call the commercial business.”

Later in the clip, Wendy said she was taking a “break” from her life in New York.

She said: “New York is fast, which I love.”

Wendy went on to say that she “loves Florida” as much as she loves the big city, adding, “They’re two very different things and people, but New York is my heart.”

Kevin then noted that Wendy’s fans have been wondering what she’s been up to since taking a break from The Wendy Williams Show.

She thanked her fans for sending “prayers” before saying, “I’m coming back stronger.”

After noting that she’s 56, she continued, “There are things that happen to people. I would say things usually start around 40 and go up from there.”

She assured fans that she focuses on her health by eating “the right food”, which is usually vegan or vegetarian.

Wendy added that “everyone has problems” and that most things are fine “in moderation”.

The daytime talk show host went on to say she was happy with her health for her age, saying, “People are starting to hunker down and they’re getting taller.”

She concluded, “I want to be all I can be, then go back to New York and continue with The Wendy Williams Show.”

Wendy – who suffers from multiple health issues – appeared in the video after it was revealed that Sherri Shepherd had been named the new host of her talk show.

The Sun was the first to exclusively report that Sherri, 54, was the favorite to officially succeed Wendy, who last appeared on her show in July 2021.

According to TMZ, the daytime talk show is set to make Sherri a constant face on the program.

The outlet revealed that while the deal is yet to be set in stone, it is expected to become official in the near future.

They also claimed that the producers behind The Wendy Show were monitoring her health in hopes that she would return soon.

However, if she continues to falter, “then they would change the name of the show in September…”

When The Sun first revealed Sherri was set to take over, a source shared: “The deal will be completed in the coming weeks and announced in January.

“Sherri is the favourite, and the staff think this is anything but a deal made with her.”

Over the years, Wendy has leaked details to her fans about her ongoing health issues.

She struggles with many issues, including Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism, which she was diagnosed with 19 years ago.

She also struggled with sobriety following her split from ex-husband Kevin Hunter, which led her to check into rehab in 2019.

In 2021, Wendy tested positive for Covid-19 and was later rushed to hospital for “psychiatric wards”.

In November, the talk show host gave fans an update on Instagram and revealed she’s “making progress.”

“As everyone knows, my health is a hot topic. I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that takes longer than expected,” Wendy told her fans.

She continued: “I am a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and I will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree that I am ready.

“I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping in while I can’t be there.”

The media maven added, “I also want to thank Debmar-Mercury and our stations for their understanding and support during my return.”

“Above all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and I feel all the love! You are everything to me.

Wendy said, “I love spending my mornings with you all and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. Love you for watching.”

While fans were hoping Wendy would return to her talk show soon, that may not be in the cards any time soon as she continues to struggle.

A source close to the talk show told The Sun: “The spark is gone. This Wendy, who for ten years had that sparkle in her eyes, that cheeky smile and that little wink is no longer the same. now.

The insider continued, “She doesn’t always function like she used to. She has days where she needs help with eating, getting out of bed, and getting dressed.

“Sometimes she goes out in her dressing gown and without shoes – old Wendy would never let herself be seen like that.”
