Vigor Wolves to host playoff game at Citronelle | Mobile County Alabama News

PRICHARD, Alabama (WALA) – Two weeks ago, the Vigor vs Williamson game ended in chaos after shots were fired at Ladd Peebles Stadium. The Mobile County Public School System has since announced that it will no longer play games in Ladd. The school system announcing this undefeated vigor will host its first-round playoff game at Citronelle High School. A decision that did not please those of Prichard.

“It’s a big blow because Vigor has done really well this year and playing in another city to host their playoff game. It’s crazy, ”said Maurice White.

Mobile County Public School athletic director Brad Lowell said a lot needs to be taken into account when deciding where the game will be played. One of the most important factors was the condition of Citronella’s land.

“We’re also looking at the pressure on the pitch,” said Lowell. “How much play has been exerted on the courts because we are trying to keep the fields in the best possible condition.”

Citronelle has played on the road for the past two weeks ahead of hosting their season finale tomorrow, meaning the pitch will have little wear and tear when Vigor plays next week. While some parents say they disagree with the decision. Lowell says from what he has seen and heard, Vigor will be ready to play no matter what.

“I think he found the motto to just tell them when and where and they will show up and play,” Lowell said. “They never wavered, they never complained”

The school system says it will determine from week to week where Vigor plays their home playoff games depending on who is still playing and which stadiums are available.
