TV presenter caught singing Anthony Elanga’s Manchester United chant with cameras rolling

A Sky Racing presenter was caught singing Anthony Elanga’s increasingly popular chant – while the TV cameras were still on.

Manchester United fans have created a terrace song for the youngster to the tune of ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer’ by early 90s German Eurodance band ‘Snap!’. Elanga enjoyed a breakthrough season in United’s first team, scoring twice in the Premier League and once in the Champions League.

Her chant circulated on social media videos and did not escape the attention of commentator and racing pundit Tony Ennis. On Tuesday, a clip of him singing the song off the air was released by Sky Sports Racing, which was captured by a social media user.

Elanga now has four senior goals to his game, adding strikes against Brentford, Leeds and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League to his first first-team strike against Wolves last season. The 19-year-old Sweden Under-21 international has played in each of the club’s last nine Premier League games, losing just one.

Elanga spent the first half of the season with United Under-23s and scored four goals in eight Premier League 2 appearances, also adding two assists. He also scored in the UEFA Youth League, with Ralf Rangnick rewarding that form with a senior call-up.

There is now a palpable buzz around the young talent, who has been a shining light in a lackluster season for the Old Trafford outfit.
