Performers from the show will gather for the premiere of “Christmas Spirit,” a feel-good song written and produced by chart-topping gospel artist Sir the Baptist. Written exclusively for this vacation experience, the track fuses traditional gospel music with contemporary hip-hop sounds.
This special holiday concert is part of the Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour’s long-standing tradition of supporting the Ronald McDonald House (OMRM) work and its mission to improve the health and well-being of children and of their families. Because it’s the season, fans of virtual concerts can donate to RHMC live at RMHC.org/ICGT2021. Since 2012, the McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour has raised more than $ 1 million to help families with sick or injured children stay close when they need it most.
“The holidays are such a special time. But as much as it is a time of celebration, it is a time to reflect and give back to others around us,” said Yolande Adams, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter. “I am proud to join this group of talented artists to usher in the holiday spirit for gospel fans nationwide while supporting the families of Ronald McDonald Houses.
Fans can stream the show on BET’s YouTube channel. Before the show, they can also experience a virtual red carpet hosted by social media comedian @NotKarltonBanks who will perform animated skits, host animated interviews with tour performers, and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the holiday show. Multi-award winning musician and syndicated radio personality Lonnie Hunter will host the show.
“We are thrilled to bring back our holiday show to celebrate this happy season and what it means for the communities we serve,” said Harry smith, owner / operator of Indiana McDonald and President of the Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour. “While McDonald’s and its owners / operators are committed to helping communities throughout the year, we are especially honored to help the OMRM families through this special spectacle which is a treat for all who love gospel music and holiday cheer. ”
The McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour Holiday Experience is the fifth and final stop on the annual tour which celebrates its 15the anniversary this year. Launched in September during Gospel Music Heritage Month, this long-running event nurtures and encourages the community through the deeply rooted tradition of gospel music. The 2021 Virtual Tour and Concert Series featured talented gospel artists representing the Gulf Coast, West Coast, Carolinas, DMV and Houston.
