PIERS Morgan made a cheeky swipe at the BBC when he was spotted having dinner together at his amazing London home.
The TV presenter has revealed how former footballer Gary Lineker hosted him for a home-cooked dinner as he hit ‘BBC license fees’.
Piers, 56, took to Instagram with a series of snaps from his night out with Gary, 61 – who donned an apron as he cooked prawns and steak.
The former Good Morning Britain star smiled for a photo as he stood next to his friend in the kitchen, holding a glass of wine as he prepared to eat.
He shared snaps of Gary taking the food out of the oven, as well as how the food was carefully prepared and laid out in front of him on the table.
Piers used the meeting to throw shade at the BBC – as his friend Gary is a longtime presenter on Match Of The Day.
“Finally decided to get my BBC license money from Gary Lineker at his house last night,” the TalkTV host said on the Instagram post.
“I have to say Chef Gaz delivered quite a delicious feast including Gambas al Ajillo and Filet Steak au Pepper. He made everything himself and everything was perfectly cooked.
“Then he proudly showed off his golden boots, before Leicester’s shock result ruined his evening. All in all a most enjoyable evening.”
He concluded the post by joking, “So worth 43p!”
It comes days after Piers showed off his HUGE steak and a £70 bottle of wine as he joked about ‘the most depressing day of the year’.
Taking to Instagram, the Sun columnist shared a snapshot of his delicious dinner with his 1.8million followers noting it was “blue Monday”.
Dominating the photograph, Piers’ giant steak, surrounded by a garnish of salad, huge field mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.
The father-of-four, who was dining at the Scarsdale Tavern in Kensington in London, opted for a side dish of chips and a bottle of 2012 Château Batailley Grand Cru wine.
Writing alongside his mouth-watering post, Piers reflected: “Blue Monday, lots of happiness inducing red. Fabulous meal at my fabulous local pub.”
Fans were quick to comment on Piers’ photo, writing, “Well deserved! Come rule our television.”
Another added: “You know exactly what to choose, Mr Morgan!! Glad to see you again!”
Piers flew to London on Saturday after a trip to the United States, where he had visited his Beverly Hills villa.
The star is now gearing up for the launch of talkTV, which will see him host his own prime-time show.
TalkTV will offer a mix of news, sports and entertainment, news, talk, opinion and documentaries.
Organized by publisher Sun News UK, it draws on the expertise of journalists and broadcasters from all of the company’s well-known brands.
