Mark Hamill Gets Nerdy About Weird Al Yankovic, This Is What The Internet Needs Most

Thanks to his illustrious career, Mark Hamill has established himself as a true icon of pop culture. To many he is known for his interpretation of Star wars‘Luke Skywalker and his turn as a delightfully villain Joker in the DC Animated Universe, among other roles. The actor, however, is quite humble when it comes to his work and actually seems to prefer talking about other people’s accomplishments instead. This desire was more than apparent when he recently on “Weird Al” Yankovic, and this is the kind of positive energy that the internet could certainly use more of.

“Weird Al” Yankovic recently celebrated his 62nd birthday, and the singer, songwriter and viral sensation has received numerous tributes. Mark Hamill’s was certainly one of the sweetest, as the actor took to Instagram to post a nice message. In the post, he congratulated the performer on his many years of hard work:

SHOUT OUT to Alfred Matthew “Weird Al” Yankovic for no particular reason other than his over 150 original parodies and songs, singlehandedly reviving the importance of the accordion in pop music and 4 decades of inspired madness !!!

Many would probably agree with the Mandalorian actors feelings, like the humorous songwriter has been working for quite some time now. In addition to the warm caption, the star also included a number of photos. You can check out the original post below:

Alfred “Weird Al” Yankovic’s first glimpse into the entertainment world came in the mid-1970s, during which he was a radio personality. Towards the end of the decade he recorded what would become the first of his many musical pamphlets – “My Bologna”, a parody of “My Sharona” by The Knack. By the 1980s he had started producing a steady stream of popular parodies, with the help of popular tunes from music legends like Michael Jackson and Queen. Unfortunately, he would have had a bad time after his 1989 film, UHF, did not meet expectations.

Nevertheless, the artist found new success in the 90s and has been a constant fixture in the fields of music and theater ever since. He’s covered a plethora of leads over the years, many of which can turn into serious earworms. Personally, I haven’t been able to get the “Trapped in Drive-thru Service” out of my head since I first heard it in college. Although music is entertaining, it also informs every now and then, as he occasionally uses his tracks. promote good causes.

Mark Hamill is certainly right to give his flowers to “Weird Al” Yankovic. The singer is constantly putting in work and always seems to be fully engaged in a project. Her wildly creative mind still seems to have plenty of ideas, so I guess we still have plenty of new parodies (and humorous sketches) to look forward to in the future. In the meantime, let’s also hope that internet users can take inspiration from Hamill and spread a little love online every now and then.
