John Goodman Weight Loss: Movies TV Actor Shows 90kg Drop

The beloved Roseanne star has undergone a dramatic body transformation in recent years after drinking alcohol and junk food.

John Goodman flaunted his slim physique as he walked the red carpet to the premiere of Tubi’s “The Freak Brothers” in West Hollywood on Monday.

The “Roseanne” star showed off her 90kg weight loss in a pair of jeans, an orange V-neck sweater and a sports coat, happily posing for photos with co-stars Pete Davidson and Blake Anderson, the New York Post reports.

Goodman, 69, began his transformation in 2007. He continued to yo-yo until he decided to totally rethink his lifestyle when he started hovering around 180 kg.

“It used to be that I would take three months, lose 25 or 30 kg, then reward myself with a six pack or something and go back to my old ways,” he told ABC in 2017.

“This time I wanted to do it slowly. Get moving, exercise. I am getting to the age where I can no longer afford to sit still.

The “The Flintstones” star gave up alcohol altogether and hired personal trainer Mackie Shilstone to help her live a different life.

“It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your butt and figure out what you’re going to eat next,” Goodman told People magazine in 2010. “I wanted to live life better. “

The “Roseanne” alum adopted a Mediterranean-style diet – meals of fish, olive oil, vegetables, nuts and fruits – and improved her fitness, making sure to do 10 000 to 12,000 steps per day.

“It didn’t happen overnight – it’s an ongoing process,” Shilstone said of Goodman’s progress.

Goodman made his weight loss debut at the premiere of “Trumbo” in 2015.

“It was basically portion control and ‘I don’t need it,'” he told AARP in 2018. “I just put everything in my mouth.”
