ITV This Morning star Alison Hammond has hinted at a more permanent presenting role for Josie Gibson. The Brummie TV star made the statement on Friday as she replaced Dermot O’Leary.
At the top of Friday’s show, ITV This Morning star Alison proclaimed: ‘I’m happy because we have you! And she added, “I’m so happy.”
“Who would have thought that, a Bristolian and a Brummie presenting This Morning,” Josie said.

Alison replied, “It was always going to happen. But do you want to know what I thought? I was thinking about the fact that we are from the days of Big Brother! We have a winner and a loser.”
“I didn’t mean anything,” Josie told him.
Alison then said, “Matt Edmonson will put Josie and me to the test when we play our guessing games for the very first time, and probably the last time”, … but then she corrected herself, saying, “Hey Well, I don’t think this will be the last time.”
The remarks led some to speculate that Josie could become more of a regular Friday presenter. Holly Willoughby revealed the news at the end of Thursday’s episode, explaining, “On tomorrow’s show, it’s double trouble. Josie will be joining Alison for this Friday morning.”
Phillip Schofield added: “They will also face off in a brand new guessing game, What The Hack?”
ITV This Morning continues to air each weekday from 10am.
