Greenbriar to host annual “Giving Day”

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – In order to raise sufficient funds to maintain essential programs and bring new programs to life, Greenbriar Children’s Center is creating a first annual Giving Day.

Donors who donate on the organization’s website Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will have their donation matched up to $ 100.00 per hour. Lucky donors will also receive a hand-painted holiday ornament by local artist Diane Ryan.

In addition, those who wish to stop and visit in person will be entitled to the annual outdoor event “Christmas in July”, also on July 16 from 4 pm to 6 pm. This event is sponsored by the Women’s Auxiliary and the Lay Auxiliary of the Berean Missionary Baptist Association. The Greenbriar campus at 3709 Hopkins Street will be decorated for the holidays, and families are encouraged to decorate their cars in the spirit of Christmas for a ‘donation drive’ to view the decorations, listen to Christmas music, take rides. treats and say hello!

“Some things that people take for granted, like paper products and bed linens, are the kinds of things we often have to restock. Every time we receive a donation it helps increase our bottom line. More funds can be used directly for the children served, ”says Greenbriar CEO Gena Taylor.
