Former Fox 4 TV host Mark Alford comes to Congress

Mark Alford, the former co-host of the Fox 4 morning show, will appear at Congress.

Alford, who has complained of being “a conservative Christian who supports small business” in the Kansas City media, will run for Congress in the sprawling Fourth District of Missouri, which currently stretches from Raymore to the west to Columbia and includes the northern parts. of the Ozarks.

Alford will run as a Republican and announced his candidacy on the local radio station which broadcasts Dan Bongino, Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin.

Alford already has his campaign website live, with a profile photo that appears to be consciously channeling Harry Truman. He used the hashtag #AlfordsArmy on Twitter, but so far only a few others have joined.

“My voice has informed, influenced and inspired millions of people during my tenure as a TV news anchor,” Alford said on his site. “My voice has been broadcast live on television for over 23,000 hours. My Voice has helped raise millions of dollars for local and national charities. ”

The neighborhood is extremely conservative. This seat is currently occupied by Vicky Hartzler, herself a staunch Conservative who has supported seniority and conversion therapy for LGBTQ people. Hartzler will run for the Senate in a crowded 2022 race that already includes the male half of the St. Louis gun couple and former Governor Eric Greitens.
