Chase Bradley Walsh’s career as presenter before TV hit

Bradley Walsh is a television legend with years of experience in the industry.

The 61-year-old has hosted the hit ITV game show The Chase since 2009, but is well known for his many acting roles, from Danny Baldwin on Coronation Street to Graham O’Brien in Doctor Who.

Most recently, Bradley starred in the reboot of the classic comedy-drama The Darling Buds of May, as well as presenting his own series Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad.

In fact, during his last appearance on The One Show, the star opened up about why he’s still on TV after appearing in prime time on BBC One and ITV at the same time with Beat The Chasers and Blankety Blank. You can read more about it here.

And while Bradley’s showbiz career began in 1997 when he hosted Wheel of Fortune, the father-of-two also had some pretty interesting jobs before he rose to fame.

Earlier this year, ITV viewers were shocked when Bradley unveiled a bespoke Bond car this morning.

Bradley explained that it took three and a half years and “a lot of blood, sweat and tears” to create after deciding to create his own version of a classic 007 engine. You can read more about the car here.

Explaining his incredible pre-showbiz engineering career, Bradley said, “I was an engineering apprentice at Rolls Royce and ended up going to their technical school in Leavesden, that’s where I learned to build. helicopter engines.

“I was a helicopter engineer for five years and so my engineering background, and a little bit of design, that’s where it all comes from, that’s where my love of engineering comes from.”

And it’s not just engineering, because Bradley was also a professional footballer.

The star was spotted for Brentford FC and spent several years playing football before an ankle injury forced him to quit. He still often participates in the charity Soccer Aid TV charity match on ITV.

After his football career, Bradley first tasted entertainment as a blue coat for Pontins Middleton Tower Holiday Park near Morecambe in Lancashire.
