Candace Owens Says US Should Invade Australia To Free People From Covid ‘Tyranny’

An American commentator launched a tirade against Covid’s “tyrannical” restrictions in Australia and suggested that the United States should send troops.

A conservative American commentator has suggested that America should “invade” to free Australians from the “tyrannical” restrictions of Covid-19, likening the country to the early stages of a dictatorship under Hitler or Stalin.

Daily thread Host Candace Owens made provocative comments on her Tuesday show, saying her husband has family members in Australia, one of whom recently said that “the mental state of everyone around him was down sharply “.

“She shared with him a message she had received from a friend of her own, a woman who lives in Queensland, and the message is really shocking,” Owens said.

“I was shocked to read this post and decided that for this episode I’m going to read it verbatim. This is a list of the Covid rules that Australian citizens are required to follow. As you read this I want you to close your eyes and imagine that this was your life and what your mental state would be if you were to follow these rules.

Owens then read a long list of Covid-19 restrictions that were in place at various times during the pandemic, including household visitor limits, funeral ceilings, QR code registrations “literally everywhere, including toilets , Curfews and travel restrictions.

“There are helicopters patrolling the skies to make sure everyone obeys curfews,” she said, apparently referring to viral footage of Sydney’s eastern suburbs earlier this year .

“You are not allowed to sit in parks, beaches and public spaces. You are not allowed to eat or drink while standing anywhere. No dancing anywhere. Only one person per household is allowed to do essential shopping. Only essential purchases are allowed and sometimes the Defense Forces and the police have verified what people are buying. Dog parks, playgrounds, bicycle parks, beaches are closed and barricaded. Wearing a mask is compulsory outside and even if you are alone.

Owens said the thing that shocked her the most was that people were being excluded from their own state.

“Thousands of them are not allowed to return unless they get the vaccine, only after going through a slow and restrictive exemption application process,” she said. “This is what is happening in Australia right now.”

Owens then asked why America shouldn’t invade Australia like Afghanistan.

“Over the past 20 years, the United States has spent billions of dollars overseas in Afghanistan to wage a war, which we have lost, by the way,” she said.

“We were told that war was necessary anyway, the slaughter of American sons and daughters on foreign soil because we were fighting a noble cause – to spread democracy in a tyrannical country. Free an oppressed people.

“So I’m going to ask these same politicians and members of the media a question: When do we deploy troops to Australia? When do we invade Australia and free an oppressed people who are suffering under totalitarian rule? When are we spending billions of dollars spreading democracy in Australia? “

Owens claimed that Australia is currently “a tyrannical police state” which suppresses “the most basic of individual freedoms”, with citizens “literally imprisoned against their will” and unable to leave the country.

“What is happening in Australia under the guise of this virus is over federal in scope,” she said.

“Tyranny. Totalitarianism. The kind that spawns evil dictatorships and human atrocities. We watch a replay of the early ambitions of Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez.

Australia was one of America’s main partners during the 20-year war in Afghanistan.

Over 39,000 Australian troops deployed, 41 were killed and over 260 injured.

The United States was widely criticized by its allies for a brutal and botched pullout in August that saw the Afghan military crumble in the face of a resurgent Taliban, who quickly regained control of the country.

“Can someone explain to me why the Australian government is better or nobler than the Taliban?” Owens said.

“Both groups believe they have the right to oppress and imprison people for their own good.

Owens is the latest high-profile Conservative commentator to criticize Australia’s Covid-19 measures.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham scoffed at the Sydney lockdown in August despite a “case-to-population ratio of 0.004%”, while fellow host Tucker Carlson criticized last month’s “draconian” policies. Australia.

Earlier this month, Australia became the surprising focal point of a march against vaccination warrants for teachers in New York City, with hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Australian Consulate chanting ‘Save Australia’ and some waving Australian flags.

Prominent Republican politicians, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, have also shot Australia.

Australia has largely escaped the worst of the pandemic, with just 1,448 deaths.

The official death toll in the United States stands at over 729,000.
