Australian Journo Said Cooch On Live TV And James Corden Found Him

One day Australian talk shows will be normal. One day. But until then, marvel at how an extract of one Today’s show presenter saying “my cooch is dying” has kind of made its way across the world and onto James Cordonit is Late showwhere the jokes go to die.

Ally Langdon co-animated part of the Today’s show with Karl Stefanovic (ugh) last week when she said the fateful words, in an all-topics gardening segment.

In a conversation about lawn care, Langdon mourned his own failing lawn, which is covered in couch grass.

“I want to ask, because my cooch is dying,” she began, mispronouncing the word as Stefanovic lost his shit and started laughing like a teenager.

Langdon tried to push through, but you could see in her eyes that she realized what she had done.

“What did you do to him, if he died?” one of the gardening experts replied cheekily, and I honestly respect him.

“Well, the dog pees on it…” Langdon replied, clearly trying to move past the fact that she practically said “coochie” on live TV and maintain her dignity. Spoiler alert, she just made it funnier.

“Try to keep the dog away, and you’ll probably see results,” the gardener replied, and by then Stefanovic had totally lost it.

“I don’t understand what’s going on with my co-host,” Langdon said. Girl, yes you do!!!

As if it couldn’t get any wilder, the gardener then told Langdon that “cooch has a very good wear tolerance, so he can recover quickly.”

Ummm get that gardener his own slot on the Today’s show.

Anyway, #coochgate has since gone viral and made its way onto James Corden Late show.

“An Australian TV host had an accidental mistake while discussing lawn care live,” Corden told his audience before playing the iconic clip.

“Everyone needs to grow up, okay? She’s just talking about cutting her grass underneath,” he joked. And believe me, I say “kidding” generously, because Corden making pubic jokes about one of our reporters isn’t cool with me.

But that doesn’t matter, because we don’t need him to make it funny.

Aussie TV delivers again.
