After the second season of Tehranactress Elnaaz Norouzi has another international project in her kitty: Kandahara film directed by Hollywood actor Gerard Butler.

“It’s an action movie, that’s all I can say at the moment. We started working on it in January, and it was fun working with the crew and the crew. Lots of ‘Explosions were happening on set, it’s a great action movie,’ quips the 29-year-old player.

“I also have actor friends who have tried their luck, you have to audition there. I know the kind of actor I am and auditions are all the rage in Hollywood. I love it. When the directors tell me the scene they want me to do, it’s very important. It was by passing auditions that I got Tehran and even Kandahar. Whether it’s a guest role or an appearance, they always want to see what you look like in character, no matter how big of a star you are in India,” Norouzi shares.

“Over there you are in a position where they choose you, whereas here in India you choose.” Kandahar also stars Ali Fazal.

What the actor can’t fail to ask about is his experience working with Butler. She gets excited and gushes: “All we have left, the actors, is the dubbing for the film. I had an incredible time on the sets. Gérard is so much fun. He does not behave like a star and has no attitude. He is wholehearted and very kind. He was so interested to know how Bollywood works, how everyone in India is doing. He wants to come here soon and take these spiritual journeys. He is a being very cool human.
