2022 Emmy predictions: Will Mandy Moore be nominated?


“This Is Us” is weeks away from the end of its six-season run, which means it’s the last time it can compete for the Emmys. It’s also the last time “Ozark” can make a splash at the Emmys. Will either come out on a high? Gold Derby editors and experts Christopher Rosen and Joyce Eng are here to take another look at racing drama.

After a brief flirtation with madness, Chris now has “Ozark,” which dropped its final seven episodes on April 29, slated for a Best Drama Series nomination, but neither of us has “This Is Us.” a series name in 2020 in a stacked field but returned last year in a less competitive field. It’s still jam-packed this year, so will he be on the sidelines one last time?

We both recently moved mandy moore in our Best Drama Actress lineups. The former candidate, who Sterling K. Brown for her, is some of her best work yet on the final season of “This Is Us.” Plus, she earned a somewhat surprising nomination last time out, in 2019, after being snubbed the year before.
